Runners and walkers will climb Hailey's Carbonate Mountain on Saturday, April 28th for the fourth annual Carbonate Hill Climb presented by The Advocates for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Staging area is Hop Porter Park in Hailey. The event supports Sexual Assault Awareness Month. There will be prizes for the top three overall men and women, and first-place finishers in 12-and-under boys and girls. Register in advance, call 788-4191 or click "Find Out More" below.
The Advocates' annual Gala Auction, which this year is themed "Black & White Soiree," will take place Friday, July 6, 2012, at Trail Creek Cabin in Sun Valley with cocktails, dinner and dancing with live music. Tickets are $150. The evening will include live and silent auction lots and more! Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of items, including travel, services, products, parties, beauty and wellness, home and garden, food and wine and pampering pets.
Could you walk in a domestic violence victim’s shoes? Close to 100 community members participate in Walk the Walk every October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month to build awareness of family violence prevention and the creation of healthy relationships.
